This Quest makes a loop around the historic village of Wilder which was once called Olcott Falls. Our Quest focuses on many of the old buildings from the 1890s and early 1900s that were built to house people who worked at the paper mill. We chose to focus on just a few of the many historic houses in town.


The Quest begins at the parking lot at Dataman in Wilder. Dataman is at 1994 Hartford Avenue (Route 5). On the left before the left turn at the church 1.8 miles from the traffic light on the corner of Route 14 and Route 5 in White River Junction heading north. On the right directly after making the right turn in Wilder, 3 miles from the traffic light on Route 5 in Norwich heading south.
