Want to help lead local solutions to climate change?
Learn background on climate change and ways for engaging your community in positive steps through the 2CLA Toolkit, developed by the 2022 cohort of the Climate Change Leadership Academy (2CLA).
Offered by the Upper Valley Adaptation Workgroup and Vital Communities, 2CLA trains Upper Valley residents on how to take meaningful action on climate change in their communities. Most recently run September through December 2022, the Academy features six biweekly live sessions with expert presentations, group discussions, and collaborative work sessions that explore climate change science, climate justice, mitigation and adaptation strategies, opportunities for local action, project design, and leadership development. Applications are not yet open for the next 2CLA cohort. Please check back!
In 2CLA, participants will:
- Build knowledge, skills, and connections to help you design and enact community solutions and adaptations to climate change
- Collaborate as a part of a network of local people who care as much as you do
- Learn what works in community organizing and how to inspire people to action
“… until we have some sense of how to live our solutions locally, we won’t be successful at implementing a just governance system regionally, nationally, or globally.”
