Wanted: People of all ages with a love of the outdoors. Share that love by volunteering as a Valley Quest Box Monitor!
Valley Quests are outdoor “treasure hunts” throughout the Upper Valley that allow people to explore and learn about our region’s distinct natural and cultural heritage — each community’s special places and stories. Each Quest has a starting point and clues you follow to reach a “treasure box.” Inside the treasure box are additional information about the site plus items that let you leave a note or a stamp and even stamp your own Quest Journal, should you choose to.
Valley Quest Box Monitors are critical to keeping the fun going by checking from time to time on the boxes for whichever Quests they “adopt.” New Monitors join up each year – and some return year after year!
Current Box Monitors and those considering becoming one, join us for an informal virtual check-in!
Share and hear experiences with and tips for box monitoring, meet other members of this fun community of volunteers, and meet Gabrielle, the new Valley Quest program coordinator. Help us make the program stronger this year!
You can attend either or both of these virtual sessions. The first 15 minutes will be an introduction for those considering becoming Box Monitors, followed by a 30-minute time for experienced Box Monitors to meet and share!
