All four schools in the Windsor Southeast Supervisory Union are keeping busy this winterwith farm to school. Some of the schools had fun with the January Harvest of the Month materials, and it was great to see how quickly students realized the many similarities between parsnips and carrots. The Windsor High School group was anxious to share their new knowledge of parsnips with K-4 friends, but they did bring along donated dip from Cabot just to be sure the taste test was extra yummy! We are getting going on garden plans, and several schools are interested in expanding their gardens. We will also be building cold frames to experiment with season extension. – Amy Richardson, Windsor Southeast Supervisory Union, Hartland, VT
