B&W Catering is a new Upper Valley food business that appreciates the value of using the freshest, highest quality local ingredients. The business is operated by Brent and Whitney Battis and focuses on developing event menus which highlight locally produced products.
Brent grew up in Enfield, and returned to the Upper Valley in 2005 after cooking for several years in Colorado. Eventually, Brent became Sous Chef at the Hanover Inn where he met Whitney who was Catering Captain. Today they have a one-year-old son and operate B&W Catering as a family business.
Brent has been an advocate of cooking local foods for many years. He describes, “Since my return from the West in 2005, I have been amazed by the bounty local of produce, meats and cheeses. New England really does some amazing things! Our goal, at B&W Catering Company is to bring these amazing products to the forefront of the Upper Valley catering scene. This is our specialty. Taking these carefully grown and made products, doing as little as we can to them and allowing them to shine! Every time I get a chance to visit one of our farmer’s farms, is an honor. These are some of the hardest working men and woman that I have ever known. Their dedication and commitment to quality should be rewarded! The way that we can do that is to support them by buying their goods. I have so much respect for my farmers, that I invited two of my closest to my wedding, Steve Fulton, owner of Blue Ox Farm of Enfield, NH and Lee Robie of Robie Farm in Piermont, NH.”
