Energy Help for New Hampshire Energy Businesses
Each electric utility company serving New Hampshire has its own efficiency programs for small businesses, delivered under the “NHSaves” brand. These programs are not just for saving on electricity. You can find some programs on the NHSaves website, and others by contacting your utility directly.
As a first step, we recommend contacting your utility directly (included below). From there, the basic process looks like this:
- Schedule an energy audit
- Prioritize opportunities for improvement
- Apply for approval of eligible incentives
- Install approved measures and upgrades
- Collect your incentive and continue saving!
Liberty Utilities offers small businesses (those with less than 200kW demand):
- Free energy audits help small businesses identify the best opportunities for improved energy efficiency
- Prescriptive Incentives for new energy efficient equipment retrofits, new construction, process expansion, or replacement of old equipment, including:
- Lighting
- Chillers and HVAC systems
- Compressed Air systems
- Motors and Variable Frequency Drives
- Weatherization (air sealing & insulation)
Prescriptive incentives are pre-calculated for each unit installed: up to 35% off the cost of retrofit projects (50% for lighting) and 75% off the incremental cost of new efficient equipment.
- Custom Incentives are available for other, less common, installations. Eligibility is determined by quantifying and evaluating project costs versus potential energy savings.
