Ways to Engage

Buyer and Seller Guides – Vital Communities developed the Green Homebuyer Guide and Green Seller Guide for network members to use and share with clients. To request printed guides or training in how to use the guides with clients, contact Sarah.

Homebuyer Workshops – Sarah and Paige frequently attend homebuyer workshops throughout the Upper Valley. To request a presentation about Green Real Estate at an upcoming workshop, contact Sarah.

Network Gatherings – At least once per year, Vital Communities hosts a breakfast for the entire Green Real Estate Network to share what’s new across all of our projects and working groups. To learn more, contact Sarah.

Continuing Education – Vital Communities plans to bring relevant continuing education on the topic of green real estate to the Upper Valley in 2019, including the development of new courses tailored specifically to our network’s needs. To learn more or suggest possible courses, contact Sarah.

Green Home Inspectors Work Group – This engaged group of Upper Valley home inspectors meets roughly once per month, first thing in the morning at Vital Communities in White River Junction. Meeting agendas are defined by the group and focused on shared learning around common home energy issues, recognizing that clients are increasingly concerned about energy costs. To learn more and join the work group, contact Paige.

Green Lenders Work Group – Vital Communities convenes Upper Valley lenders at least once per year to discuss current green loan products and aspirations for growing our region’s green lending portfolio. To learn more and request information about upcoming meetings, contact Sarah.

Green Real Estate Network Advisory Group – small, dynamic, cross-sector group meeting 2-3 times per year to discuss high level direction and strategy for the network as a whole. To learn more or volunteer, contact Sarah.

Paige Heverly joined Vital Communities in 2017 as the Energy and Transportation Project Coordinator. Hailing from the suburbs of Philadelphia, she moved to Vermont in 2011 and earned a joint BA in Renewable Energy and Ecological Design and Environmental Studies from Green Mountain College. After completing her Master of Energy Regulation and Law from Vermont Law School, Paige worked in energy efficiency consulting in Portland, Oregon. Her love of local food systems, the White River, and the Green Mountains brought her back to the Upper Valley to work on regional issues with localized solutions. Paige is passionate about closing ecological loops and treating waste as food. In her free time, she enjoys baking homemade English muffins, weeding her garden, and writing letters to her pen pals.
