Vital Communities, a regional nonprofit focused on nurturing equitable civic, environmental, and economic vitality in the Upper Valley, seeks a dynamic full-time Grants Manager. With an anticipated annual budget of $3 million in FY 2023 and ambitious revenue goals moving forward, Vital Communities has a growing need to expand our fundraising and development team. The Grants Manager will support the Development and Finance Teams by managing all aspects of the grant application and award process, including maintaining an annual submission calendar, identifying potential funding opportunities, preparing grant proposals, managing grant budgets, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
As Vital Communities is a highly collaborative organization with a robust grant portfolio, this position will require close collaboration with program and finance staff, as well as the Development Director, to align proposals with the organization’s mission, strategic priorities, and our annual fundraising goals. The best candidate will possess excellent writing, editing, and research skills, an understanding of nonprofit fundraising and accounting principles, and strong organizational and project management skills.
