Efficiency Vermont
Overview
The Home Energy Loan is a low-interest loan that can be used for energy efficiency improvements on your home like heat pumps, efficient heating systems and hot water heaters, air sealing, insulation, renewables, and more. Funds can also be used on important health and safety repairs to your home. Loans are available up to $20,000 and could finance 100% of your project with interest rates between 0% and 6.99% (depending on income and loan term). The Home Energy Loan can be processed in as little as two business days with loan terms up to 15 years. The Home Energy Loan is an Efficiency Vermont program with funds made available through VSECU, Opportunities Credit Union, and NeighborWorks of Western Vermont.
Who Should Apply:
Anyone! Anyone can apply for the Home Energy Loan, but interest rates will be different depending on your income and loan term length. Look at the chart below for the interest rate breakdown:
