Join us on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 10:00 to noon for the Late Season Pollinators and Migratory Birds Guided Quest. Nathaniel Sharp from the Vermont Center for Ecostudies will lead this guided Quest that will take you on a 1.25-mile hike through mixed forests and wetlands of the Union Village Dam, Thetford, VT. While questing for the remnants of old mills, homesteads, and of course the Lonesome Pine, we will pay close attention to the behavior and habitat of late season pollinator species and migratory birds. Bring sturdy footwear, water and a snack, binoculars if you have them, and be prepared for the weather! The terrain is partially on a gravel road and a moderately challenging hiking trail with rocks and roots.
This event is free and open to all! Registration is required to attend and can be completed below. Registrants will be told the exact location of the Quest start. We request that dogs stay home to allow a better birding experience.
