Listen’s Heating Helpers can help pay for fuel or prevent electric service disconnections. Listen Community Services, a local Upper Valley nonprofit, helps families avoid running out of heating fuel or having their electricity turned off by sending a lump sum payment right to your fuel or utility provider.
Who Should Apply:
Anyone could be eligible! as long as you live in Listen’s service area (see the image below) and you’re having trouble paying your energy bill, you could get a grant from Listen that does not need to be paid back. Listen looks at every case individually so even if you think you might not be eligible, apply anyway! You can apply for Heating Helpers every 12 months.

How to Apply:
To apply for the Heating Helpers program, you need to make an appointment with Listen. Taking applications through appointments only helps Listen gauge each client’s situation and exactly what they need individually and personally.
