As we approach the transition of the town-based listservs from Vital Communities to UVLists, we want to share additional information regarding the options to either stay subscribed to a town-based list or to opt out if you don’t want to make the transition to UVLists.
The town-based lists will be transitioning to UVLists over the week of October 26-30. To learn more about the migration schedule, go to Vital Communities List Migration – UVLists.
If you want to remain subscribed to the listserv, you don’t need to do anything. Your subscription will transfer to the new list unless you choose to opt out. UVLists will share information with subscribers about changes you may see in list names, addresses, and the service provider.
If you do not want your subscription moved to UVLists, there are two ways to unsubscribe over the next week.
- You can send a blank message to listname-unsubscribe@lists.vitalcommunities.org from the email address currently subscribed to the list. This is the same unsubscribe email address noted in the town list emails you receive currently.
- Alternatively, you can find the name of your listserv on the bottom of this page (Community Discussion Lists – Vital Communities) and click the link to go to its homepage.
- Sign in to your account and choose Unsubscribe from the menu in the upper left-hand corner.
- Enter the email address that is subscribed to that list and follow the instructions
You may also unsubscribe from the new list at any time after the move to UVLists.
Vital Communities has been honored to have stewarded the Upper Valley town-based listservs for over a decade, and we thank the many volunteer list managers who made that possible. We are glad to help with this transition, allowing subscribers who want to keep participating in the town-based listservs to do so. Although Vital Communities will no longer have an ongoing role in the town-based listservs, we wish UVLists the very best as it stewards these lists into the future.
Vital Communities will continue to operate the three Upper Valley-wide and topic-focused listservs. Learn more about these lists at Community Discussion Lists – Vital Communities
