Description

Explore a beautiful area preserved by the Ausbon Sargent’s Land Preservation Trust. Ausbon Sargent’s mission is to preserve and protect the rural character of the Mt. Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee region for public benefit through conservation agreements that protect the farms, forest, streams and wetlands.

The Cook Quest starts at the end of the Cook interpretive trail (pink dots) and follows that trail backwards.

Directions

Take I-89 to Exit 11. Follow NH 11-E until you reach Wilmot Center Rd. Take Wilmot Center east from Elkins, turn left on unpaved Whitney Brook Road. Go about .3 miles and look for parking on the west (left) side of Whitney Brook Road, before the power line at ASLPT sign #49 (pink mailbox).
