2021 Special Note: Due to construction work at the final destination of the Quest, you will not be able to find the treasure box, but we hope you will still have a great time!
This Quest at the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site is free and stays outdoors. The historic site buildings are open from late May to mid-October. The Quest may be done in the off-season, but some clues will be missing and the Treasure Box will not be accessible if snow is on the ground. Another, in depth building quest is available with admission to the Visitor Center. More information can be found at www.historicsites.vermont.org.
Directions
Plymouth Notch is located on VT 100-A and can be reached via VT 4 (from Woodstock and I –89) or VT 100 (from Ludlow, Rutland and Killington). The Visitor Center is at 3780 Rt. 100-A. Turn at the entrance sign into the main parking area. See map. PLEASE NOTE: The roads through the historic site are public rights-of-way. Look both ways when crossing the roads and wait for the traffic to pass before you cross.After completing this Quest, you will most likely want to visit the historic site, so bring some money for the admission fee. The Aldrich House, the site's office, is located at 249 Coolidge Memorial Rd. It is open weekdays year-round and has exhibits especially designed for winter visitors.
