Directions

Take Route 120 about 3.5 miles south of Lebanon and make a right onto Main Street in Meriden. Make a left in about 1 mile ad cross the covered bridge. Proceed to the fork of Colby, Ladieu, and Columbus Jordan Road. Go left onto Columbus Jordan. Go almost 2 miles to a pull-off. The trail will be on your left.

This quest originally appeared in Valley Quest: 89 Treasure Hunts. It has been updated and included in the Best of Valley Quest. If you are using your Valley Quest I book, please make note of these sign changes. QUESTERS:A new sign is now located at the blue trail and red trail juncture on the way up to French’s Ledges that reads FRENCH’S LEDGES TRAIL Follow towards the Ledges. On the way down (and back to the Trailhead Parking) a sign with an arrow point directs Questers to the left and back along the blue trail. The sign reads: COLUMBUS JORDAN RD. TRAILHEAD Also, beyond this blue and red blazed trails intersection and at another tricky spot near the base of the steep ledges trail section, an additional “FRENCH”S LEDGES” directional sign (end of sign cut as a point) has been installed to help visitors find there way. Note: Questers will want to go back to the Columbus Jordan Trailhead. If they miss the directional sign for the blue trail Trailhead and begin to travel too far along the red trail (French’s Ledges Trail) they will come to another intersection and a sign that says, Colby Hill Trailhead. As a Quester you’ll likely want to read that sign as “I need to go back to find the blue trail.”
