Description
A gem in the woods that you won’t want to miss! Learn what makes a kettle bog unique.
Directions
Take I-91 south to exit 7. Take a right off the exit and go through Springfield on Rte. 11. Take Fairground Road on the left past Riverside Middle School heading north. Keep the Black River on your right for just over 2 miles. Look for a dirt pull-off on the left, just around a bend...it's just before the town garage and old Army National Guard armory building. A large boulder is carved with the word "BOG" and marks the head of the trail.Clues and Map

1998Update to this Quest
Time has changed some of the natural markers mentioned in the original Quest. The clues here on the website are updated, but if you have one of Quest books you should follow these suggestions:
The arching tree is gone–proceed along the trail with the bog on your right.
The large birch tree is down on the forest floor.
Continue to the end point of the bog, stopping at a guidepost. You will see a S with and arrow. Continue with clues…look to the bog. Treasure is very close!
