Description
This letter hunt reveals some of the hidden history of Chelsea as you walk around this quaint village. The town of Chelsea was settled 1784. A unique feature is the two commons, or greens, as they were called in the early history of the town. Chelsea is located near the center of Orange County and in 1795, it was designated as the seat of the county government, thus becoming the “Shire Town,”an old English term.

We are so sorry to report that one of the buildings that is a clue on this Quest has burned down. So here are some adjustments to your clues! Clue #7 that begins with “Hammers, nails, buckets….” no longer works so delete that one altogether. And the letter that you are supposed to collect for number 5 is the same letter as number 6! So at the very end, use number 6 to fill in the space that is labeled 5.
