Description
This is a Quest on a wonderful section of the Cross-Rivendell Trail. It is a beautiful walk through an old forest. Be sure to bring a picnic lunch along. You start and end at a great picnic spot.
And while you are in the area you may want to try these Quests – Linny’s Loop Bicycle Quest, Eagle’s Bluff, Lake Morey, Palisades and Fairlee Glen Falls.
Directions
Take Route 113 from Thetford to West Fairlee. Take your second right after the school onto Mill Street. Mill St becomes unpaved and turns into Robinson Road. After a sharp turn to the right follow this steep,narrow, and dirt road up to the top until you see a clearing with a Green oval Southworth Park sign on the right. Park at the stones. Out of the car face the Southworth Park sign, then turn to your left. Directly in front of you, in the field, is a blue 2-3 ft high Rivendell trail stake. Proceed onto the trail at this stake. Follow clues.
