Split the Ticket fund is a program through the Vermont Fuel Dealers Association that matches cash donations with donations of heating fuel through Vermont’s fuel providers. For every $1 donated, $2 of heating fuel is received. Households are nominated by friends, family, or neighbors to receive a donation of fuel.
Who Should be Nominated:
Anyone who is having trouble paying their heating bill or is struggling to pay for a heating fuel delivery can be nominated. To receive a donation of fuel through the Split the Ticket Program you must be nominated. Many families in Vermont make just over the income limit for government programs like Fuel Assistance (LIHEAP) or don’t qualify for another reason. Split the Ticket may be able to help get them the fuel they need.
How to Nominate:
To receive a donation of fuel through the Split the Ticket program, you must be nominated. Anyone can nominate you- a friend, a family member, a neighbor. To nominate someone you need to enter the nominee’s address, type of fuel, fuel provider, and a description of why they are a good candidate for the program into the Nomination Form below:
