Woodstock Union High School and Middle School Farm to School program is sliding sweetly into spring. The Locally Grown class has been sugaring at the King Farm, with 40 taps this year. One pancake breakfast already under our belt! Farm-to-School kids made chocolate chips with Lisa Robar from Kiss the Cow farm in preparation for an on-farm ice cream making field trip in a few weeks. And, most excitingly, we were awarded a $2,000 grant from the Whole Kids Foundation! This will support greenhouse operations and summer garden interns. – Kat Robbins, Place-Based Education Coordinator, Woodstock Union High School and Middle School, Woodstock, VT
