A nice shady meander right on the edge of downtown Lyme.

This land has been conserved by the Upper Valley Land trust. UVLT is a regional land conservancy working to protect farmland, forests, wetlands and waterways, wildlife habitat, and trails and scenic areas in the Vermont and new Hampshire towns of the Upper Valley. Since 1985, UVLT has protected 530 parcels of land encompassing 54,446 acres. UVLT is a non-profit organization and is supported primarily by local contributions from individuals. From the south, or Hanover area, head north on Route 10/Lyme Road for about 10 miles. The destination will be on your left. Park in Lyme School parking lot. Go to the back of the school. Cross a stream on a gravel path and head to the baseball field. At the top of the path to the field, turn left and head across a soccer field. At end of field find a yellow sign indicating "Grant Brook Trail". You should find the stone wall that begins the quest.
