A gradual ascent from Faulkner Park in Woodstock to the summit of Mt. Tom with amazing views of Woodstock Village and its surroundings.  Make sure to read the historical information sign in the park to learn about Mrs. Faulkner, a great benefactor for the Upper Valley.

Take Route 4 into Woodstock. From the northwest side of the Woodstock Green, cross the covered bridge and follow Mountain Avenue around to the park on the right. Take any of the paved paths to the trail going up Mount Tom. Follow the switch-back trail (the Faulkner Trail) up the front face of Mount Tom. Don't go all the way around, remember to switch back and avoid the cut throughs, they cause erosion!
