She/her/hers
Emma Wolfe, who joined the Vital Communities Board in Fall 2023, is the inaugural Vice President of Government and Community Relations at Dartmouth College, having previously served as the Senior Advisor to the President for External Relations and Leadership Development at Barnard. From 2018 to 2022, she served as chief of staff to the mayor of New York City and from 2020-2022 additionally as Deputy Mayor. She also has worked for state government; ran electoral campaigns at local, state, and federal levels; recruited new candidates to run for office; and organized for labor and community-based groups. The office of government and community relations focuses on furthering Dartmouth’s institutional priorities by elevating Dartmouth’s contributions and profile through federal, state, and local policy impact; and by building community engagement and trust as a neighbor and stakeholder in the Upper Valley. “As a newcomer to Dartmouth and Hanover, I have been struck by the number of people throughout the Upper Valley who are devoted to the work of Vital Communities and all the connections, efforts, and opportunities it provides. I’m in particular excited about their work on housing and climate.”
