Jacopo Montobbio

Before joining Vital Communities in fall 2025, Jacopo worked in the transportation nonprofit world and specialized in biking and walking education programs. He led the Safe Routes To School efforts in Durham, NC, and developed and taught biking and walking safety curricula for K-5 students. Jacopo is a League of American Bicyclists-certified instructor and enjoys sharing his passion for biking and active transportation in general. When not at the VC office and advocating for safer streets and greater transit, Jacopo enjoys exploring the quaint dirt roads and small villages in the Upper Valley on his bike, hiking the local trails, and visiting local farms in search of fresh ingredients to cook. You might also find him at the Cedar Circle kitchen or cafe, baking bread or serving fun lattes!
