Julia Griffin
She/her/hers
Newly retired after serving 26 years as the Town Manager of Hanover, Julia joined the Vital Communities Board in September 2022. Her work for the town has included collaborating with Vital Communities on a number of initiatives including solarization, weatherization, sustainability and resilience, transportation planning, workforce and affordable housing, homelessness, and emergency preparedness. Prior to coming to Hanover in 1996, she served as City Manager for Concord, NH, and a senior analyst for the City of Santa Monica, CA. Her current volunteer endeavors include serving on the boards of the HOPE Foundation of Lebanon, Clean Energy NH, and Twin Pines Housing Trust. “Serving on the board is a wonderful and logical next step for a used Town Manager who wants to keep her hand in important regional work while being sure to step away from direct involvement in Hanover. I hope I can be helpful to the VC Board as well by lending a municipal perspective. … I love seeing the really big picture but figuring out how to make things happen at the local level.”
