Miranda joined Vital Communities as BIPOC Community Navigator in June 2024. A native of New Orleans, she previously served as an environmental justice research consultant for the New York-based JPB Foundation. At Vital Communities, she will head a project aimed at helping Black, Indigenous, and People of Color put down roots in the Upper Valley, including buying homes. In her free time, she loves to play ukulele, tend her plants and cats, and do crafts. “I am thrilled to be joining the Vital Communities team and collaborating with partner organizations and community members to serve as a resource for people of color settling in the Upper Valley area, a place I have come to love over the past two years. I’m so happy to be able to use my intersectional background in environmental justice to have a part in helping people of color ensure their futurity in the area through home and business ownership.”
