While serving two terms as a New Hampshire State Representative, Tim earned his MPA with a focus on Rural Governance, exploring how the New England Village is a model for 21st-century rural economic redevelopment. He spent the past few years putting that theory into practice, combining his work experience, education, and community connections to help establish Lucky’s Coffee Garage in Lebanon, NH, and now is an Associate Planner for the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission. Building on his continuing service on the Mascoma Valley Regional School Board and other political advocacy work, he is eager to teach others how to leverage our civic institutions for the benefit of all through active participation in our democracy. “I was drawn to Vital Communities because I see so much opportunity to strengthen the connections between every small town within our region to strengthen our social ecosystem, and I am eager to help the Upper Valley have a sustainable future.”
